Appearance and Personality

Appearance: Soma is of average height and build, but he has a couple of rather notable features. One of which is his snow white hair, which he was born with. His other notable feature is his usually ice blue eyes, which turn gold when his alternate personality shows himself. He usually wears a pair of tight, flare legged jeans with a black long sleeved shirt, covered by a long white coat. The coat is trimmed with blue ribbon and has a fur collar. He also wears a pair of black cowboy boots.

Personality: Soma Cruz has two personalities. One is his normal self, the other is that of Dracula. Soma himself is usually a quiet boy, content to keep to himself and a few friends. He doesn't mind helping others out and he's rather protective of the ones he calls friends. Dracula, however, is pretty much the complete opposite. Dracula would love nothing more to cause chaos, even if it means using the people that Soma considers friends. Dracula will use any means possible, from pretending to be Soma to blackmail and manipulation.

Abilities/Noteable Possessions/Weaknesses

Abilities/Strengths: Soma is a rather good hand to hand fighter if he has to, but he prefers to use a sword that he obtained within Dracula's castle during the Solar Eclipse of 2035 and he is a pretty good listener. He also has the ability to change his form into that of a giant bat in order to fly around. Dracula has the same abilities, plus he is good at manipulating feelings and pretending to be Soma.

Noteable Possessions: A sword, found within Dracula's castle, and his wits.

Weaknesses: Soma is a vampire, and he must drink blood to survive. He also doesn't go outside at all during the day, considering he'll get a nasty sunburn. Soma also can't hold holy objects or wear a cross, they will burn him. He also will do just about ANYTHING for a friend in need, which tends to get him in a bit of trouble.

History

The first part of Soma's life was pretty much uneventful. He went to school and nothing really seemed to happen until after he graduated from high school and went to study abroad for College. Soma ended up in Japan, living with the Hakuba family, who run a shrine. The year is now 2035 and Soma's life is about to change. A solar eclipse is supposed to happen sometime this year, bringing with it great evil.

On the day of the solar eclipse, Soma was headed to the Hakuba shrine to meet Mina, his friend and the daughter of the people that he was staying with. Soma noticed that something was wrong when the walk up the stairs to the shrine seemed a lot longer than it usually was. However, once he did make it to the shrine, everything went black.

When he awoke, he found that he was at the gates of a large castle. There he meet Genya Arikado who demanded that Soma answer some questions. Confused, Soma demanded to know where they were, and Arikado told him that they were inside of the Solar Eclipse, at Dracula's Castle. Before Arikado could explain anything else, they are attacked by a group of monsters from within the castle. Soma, wanting to protect Mina at all costs, attacks and destroys the monsters. But something strange has happened, a dark power awoke within the boy, causing him to absorb the souls of the monsters that he defeated.

After the battle, Arikado told Soma to go to the Master's Chamber within the castle, and everything would be explained there. So, leaving Mina at the castle gates, Soma ventured inside the castle to make his way to the Master's Chamber, fighting monsters and gaining more souls. But when he got to the Master's Chamber, there was still one more fight to be fought. Soma would have to fight himself, or rather, another part of himself that had remained dormant until his arrival at the castle.

It turns out that Soma is the reincarnation of Dracula, and returning to the castle had awakened another part of his mind, more specifically…it had awoken Dracula, and he wanted control. It looked like Dracula was going to win, because he was able to turn Soma into a vampire, but Soma was just waiting for the right time to strike. After the change, Soma was able to take back control of his mind and body, but the change was permanent. Soma was now a vampire, and Dracula was still there, lurking in the back of his mind, waiting for the right time to appear again and take control. Soma fights to keep that from happening.
